Description
Refresh existing knowledge or learn new skills at this week-long, hands-on biotechnology workshop! Explore methods for incorporating biotechnology into your classroom as we discuss DNA structure and function, gene expression, protein structure, restriction enzymes, transformation, PCR, societal/ethical issues, and more.
This workshop is designed for teachers with a solid biology background but limited biotechnology experience. The activities will consist of a blend of lectures and discussions along side wet and dry labs that contextualize the theoretical material.
