Description
Fundamental microbiological techniques are applied to a wide range of manufacturing processes regulated by the FDA, USDA, and other agencies. This course covers the concepts and techniques of microbial detection, isolation, enumeration, and identification. Develop a deeper understanding of environmental monitoring, quality control, and reporting through the examination of written standard methodology and study of the most commonly tested groups of bacteria and fungi. Laboratory exercises are designed to provide practical experience in basic microbiological procedures that are commonly encountered in a microbiology laboratory.
