Description
Now is the time to apply for SBIR/STTR grant funding from the National Institute of Health (NIH). They received a 3% funding increase in fiscal year 2021, bringing its total budget to just under $43 billion. More than 80% of that funding will be awarded through nearly 50,000 competitive grants to more than 300,000 researchers at more than 2,500 for-profit companies, universities, medical schools, and other research institutions in every state. There is a lot of money available--let’s get your startup funded!
It is crucial to understand the program trends that will shape what technologies get funded over the next year. Like most things, COVID-19 has made its mark on many areas of the SBIR/STTR grant program. In this workshop facilitated by Dr. Rupak Doshi, Founder & CEO of OmniSync, you’ll learn about the various NIH Institutes & Centers and their funding interest areas. You’ll be briefed on the NIH’s funding priorities and how to align your technology strategically. Following the workshop, the rest of the week will include opportunities to meet with the OmniSync team to discuss your technology and ways to improve your application.
