Description
Advancement in medical device technology has led to increased growth in the number and types of medical devices available to consumers. Medical devices contribute to health and research in vital ways that are impossible to quantify.
Due to the important functions that medical devices perform, regulatory agencies have instituted testing requirements to ensure that these devices are safe to use while performing the functions for which they are intended. This presentation will delve into some of the most commonly required tests for medical devices, what purpose these tests serve, and briefly describe how they are conducted.
At the end of this presentation, attendees can expect to have a broad overview of the regulatory testing conducted on medical devices and why they are important.
